1. We link Christians together in relationship for outreach from diverse backgrounds, ministries, denominations and church affiliations.
  2. We seek to be in community with like-minded churches and ministries as a link for outreach and connection.
  3. We use methods for outreach that connect with people who are spiritually seeking without compromising the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  4. We seek to connect everyone who makes a spiritual decision on July 4th with a healthy local church for community, spiritual growth and discipleship.
  5. We want to facilitate ongoing relationships between the church and people.
  6. We are a resource for churches and ministries who want to engage in doing relevant outreach.
  7. We value healthy relationships with each other above any tasks of the ministry.

Now I want to answer in a nutshell some of the questions that I have been asked in the past. First and foremost let me remind you what we do as a ministry is share the Gospel. This event is focused on reaching out to those who don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  The musicians and performers are ministering with the same goal to reach out to the lost, not to entertain Christian believers. While we appreciate brothers and sisters in the Lord to be in the audience, I would love to encourage them to fulfill the Great Commission and help us to reach out to the thousands of people that are around us.

We also are required to follow the regulations of the National Park Service. This means that there are a lot of things that we can not do on the National Mall. Throughout the years that I’ve been involved, I have received a lot of great ideas and suggestions that the National Park Service will not allow.  It doesn’t mean that you cannot share an idea or suggestions. We are always open to ideas. We are always praying to see if the Park Service will allow us some new way to reach out to the lost.

If you are church or ministry that is outside of the DC area and are not familiar with the weather during the summer I want to let you know that it’s hot and humid and we can’t predict how the weather is going to be. But as the word of God says, preach the word, be ready in season and out of season, and that is what I want to encourage you to always be ready to share Jesus with everyone.  We want every brother and sister that is part of this outreach to respect one another and to come along side and serve our Lord and Savior together.

I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to join us at this year’s event.  Please take a moment to review our Statement of Faith and Core Values and watch the training video on our ministry website – www.santooutreachministry.org.  Please also feel free to contact us through this web address.
