The vision of FreedomFest|DC (also known as Christ On the Mall) is linking churches and ministries together in relationship to share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to the people that gather on the National Mall each Independence Day.

For over twenty consecutive years, FreedomFest|DC has had a presence on the National Mall. We seek to reach out to the thousands on the Mall with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through musical groups, kid's ministry, service evangelism, drama, speaking and sharing, and through prayer evangelism. Over the years, we have been able to share the gospel with countless individuals. Many people have also begun a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at FreedomFest|DC. And, our follow-up goal every year is to help each person who becomes a new follower of Christ get into a local church for connection and spiritual growth.

OUR MAIN SPONSORS

FreedomFest|DC has been sponsored and supported by many local churches and ministries of different denominations. One of those sponsors, Metro Community Outreach has helped by encouraging like-minded evangelical churches and ministries to network and mobilize followers of Christ to come together for relationship, prayer and outreach. Other special support and partnering has also come from WAVA radio (105.1 FM, wava.com) and from the Central Union Mission (missiondc.org). WAVA has been supporting and helping to promote Christ On the Mall for a number of years now. Among other things, Central Union Mission has supplied free water for thousands of people each year at the event on the Mall.

FreedomFest|DC is grateful for all of the support over the years. Without it, the outreach would not take place.

Prior to July 4th, COtM offers Evangelism Workshops, led by experienced men and women from local churches in the area. There are also prayer, planning and connection meetings for relationship building to get ready for July 4th.
