FreedomFest|DC is an evangelical outreach event where churches and ministries from around the DC area and the nation unite to spread the Gospel message of Jesus Christ every July 4th on the National Mall.
All day long we share the love of Jesus Christ with people through music, kids programs, youth outreach, prayer ministry and more. We distribute bottled water, give out gospel tracts, have one-on-one conversations with people about their spiritual beliefs, give out gospel bracelets, and we have bands, drama presentations, and dancer performances all on July 4th.

FreedomFest DC began as an event called Christ on the Mall on July 4, 1985. Since that time, different churches and ministries have taken over the reins, with Santo Outreach Ministry taking over sponsorship in 2007. Our ministry’s founder personally has been involved since the summer of 2003 when it was sponsored by another ministry, and by that time, the name of the event had been changed to FreedomFestDC.
